Meet our Niner Newbie: George Jackson

As I write this, the dust is settling on an exciting week, as we have welcomed George Jackson as Head of Agency to our team of ‘Niners.

George and I go way back – we worked together years ago with a previous employer and always stayed in touch and shared our thoughts on the recruitment market. I have always recommended George to talent looking to find new roles and we would regularly discuss what could be done better in the industry.

When we sat down to look at who we wanted to come in and help take M@9 to the next level, George was the only person we wanted to bring on board.

Why George?

George has had a fantastic grounding in recruitment. He has enjoyed the very same benefits that Jonathan and I have experienced from being nurtured in one of the biggest recruitment businesses globally, learning from some of the best people in the industry along the way.

George has also taken steps in his career to move employers and grow his network in the agency space.  He has built a very loyal network of candidates and clients who see him as their ‘go to’ for all things recruitment, and that is testament to how hard he works as well as the most important thing – he genuinely cares about every person he speaks to.

So, what is Head of Agency?

As a multi-discipline recruitment agency, we recruit for a wide range of jobs across an even wider range of industries. However, we were founded as a marketing recruitment specialist and that will always be front of mind.

Monday at Nine has worked with some of the most fantastic agencies who all believe there is a gap in the market. Having spent time with a number of senior figures in the agency space – across Yorkshire in particular – it seems there is a real hunger to work with a recruitment business that is fully immersed in their world.

George absolutely lives and breathes the agency scene, whether that’s Integrated, Digital, Media or Communications. Couple George with the experience of the existing team will undoubtedly allow us to be THE agency for agencies moving forward – and ultimately, service this space better than any recruitment business before us.
