​Monday at Nine are pleased to be working with a fantastic construction company based in Yorkshire. This family run business pride’s itself on delivering exceptional renovations, working as part of a team, the Senior Estimator will be working on house extensions, loft conversions complete new build or barn conversions.

Our client is looking for someone who can accurately estimate the cost, time, materials, and labour on various projects. You will be performing cost analyses, determining the duration of a project, and ensuring that all resources are managed, and deadlines are met.

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to read and take-off from Architects drawings, establishing the prime costs of each element in a labour, plant, materials and subcontractor format

  • Prepare and issue sub contract packages coupled with analysing returns, establishing the best option

  • Co-ordinate the operations teams / project managers

  • Issue and monitor direct labour outputs

  • Comfortable with accountability

  • Work closely with the supply chain manager to ensure best value on materials

  • Prepare tenders for review and sign off by senior management / managing director

  • Understand and report on contractual terms and conditions

  • Maintain relationships with the subcontractors

  • Ensure all tender documentation is saved, recorded and handed to operations team when tender success is achieved.

Experience:

  • 10 years plus experience in the construction industry / estimating is preferred.

  • Experience and work ethic to lead the tender process, work to deadlines and lead the estimating department

  • High level of experience and competence in Microsoft, excel, word and outlook is ideal/required.

  • A genuine love for the construction industry and the desire to be part of a hard-working family business is essential.
